Hostile Ambiguous Decree

- Hostile
adj. harmful, dangerous
The voices around the corner sounded angry, hostile even.

- Ambiguous
adj. unclear or vague in meaning
Her ambiguous statement made me question whether she could be trusted.

- Decree
v. to declare formally and with authority
The president decreed that Halloween would henceforth be a national holiday.
